Diagnostic Decoding Surveys

The Diagnostic Decoding Surveys are two surveys that quickly pinpoint a student’s decoding weaknesses.  The Beginning Decoding Survey assesses a student’s ability to read high-frequency words and single-syllable decodable words with consonants, short vowels, digraphs, and blends.  The Advanced Decoding Survey assesses a student’s ability to read single-syllable words with more complex vowel spellings and to read multi-syllable words.

The Diagnostic Decoding Surveys User’s Guide has 7 forms of the Surveys to use for progress monitoring.  Click here for more information about the User’s Guide.

Really Great Reading® is continuing its tradition of offering a complimentary version of Form A of the Diagnostic Decoding SurveysClick here for more information about the Complimentary Version of Form A of Diagnostic Decoding Surveys.
