Really Great Reading publishes and distributes products designed to help students learn how to read. We also offer professional development for teachers and tutors.

Our materials are research-based. Lessons offer systematic, structured, and multisensory instruction, focusing on the important areas of phonological awareness, phonics, automaticity, and fluency. Lessons also incorporate explicit vocabulary and comprehension instruction.

Our workshops give teachers in-depth knowledge that they can use to enhance any reading program. We offer workshops on a variety of topics, including phonological awareness, beginning phonics, advanced phonics, multi-syllable words, structure of the English language, intervention lessons, using Letter Tiles, assessments, DIBELS, and LETRS. We also create workshops to meet the specific needs of schools, teachers, or districts, and we offer opportunities for workshops combined with one-on-one mentoring.

Adult education is of special interest because two of RGR’s founders began learning about effective reading instruction while tutoring adults as volunteers.
